We are very satisfied clients of Express Demo, and grateful to Pierre, Anena and crew for a job well done. We contracted with Express Demo to give us a blank palette from which to recreate our ideal back yard. This meant filling in our swimming pool, removing all concrete decking around the pool & side yard, deleting all pool plumbing and electrical, and doing some light grading in preparation for our new patio. We were amazed that it took only 3 days to complete the demolition. The crew, which included Pierre, worked tirelessly to complete the job in the time estimated, and left our property in broom-clean condition. Having had mixed success with so many other contractors, we had no particular expectations about this job. And, we were quite nervous due to the type and scope of work involved, tight access, concerns about neighbors, so many worries. From the start of the job, it was clear that we were in good hands with Pierre and Anena. We really appreciated the crew’s professionalism, non-stop work ethic, care & concern for our property, and can-do mentality. And, Pierre and Anena were a delight to work with. I am in the middle of a gigantic remodel and I have had a significant share of problems along the way. However, one exception to the rule was my choice to use Express Demolition and Hauling. From the beginning their service and great attitude made me happy that I had hired them. What outstanding service I received from Express Demolition and Hauling. They came out the day I called, right on time, and hauled away a huge amount of dirt from my driveway, left from a landscaping job. The work was done quickly, neatly and at a very reasonable price, much lower than other quotes. (If only all businesses performed with the same high standard of service.) Thank you Express Hauling. Similar to previous reviewers Express Demo and Hauling did a fantastic job removing the dirt and top soil from my front yard. Once they had the dirt removed they graded the remaining soil precisely as I asked. Great work and I'd recommend this company to others.

I am a landscaper and use Express Demolition & Hauling for all my large yard renovations. One thing customers like is for the demolition phase to be over fast and completely, so that the new yard can take shape. I used to struggle to remove piles of dirt, concrete, rock from the job site, renting equipment and trying to find places to take the debris. Then I hired Pierre and found out that he had all the equipment to do the job better and quicker that I could. Express Demolition & Hauling allows me to get on with the project and focus on sprinklers, plants and hardscape, not removing junk, and the customers are happier. Express workers are fast, but considerate . Anena and Pierre always asks me if the job is being done the way I want it.

Well here goes! As a professional house remodeler with 30 years experience disappointment with contractors is the name of the game. By now we have weeded out the worst and only work with the best. But this was our own home and while we have a history with redoing pools we never had to have one taken out. Our old "Esther Williams" sized pool had to be removed to make way for a modern salt water one. This meant finding and dealing with a trade with which we were not familiar. So I went to the internet and found Anena and Pierre. Let me tell you that sometimes luck leads you in the right direction. We could not be happier with their workmanship, speed, cleanliness, professionalism or price. The delivered even more than they promised.

What can I say, I was nervous to deal with contractors as I have never had a good experience with any of them. Express Demolition changed that. We decided to remove our inground swimming pool and the surrounding concrete deck. I shopped three bids. Express came in the lowest. At first I thought, here I go again, turns out, they did a total demo at nearly the same cost one contractor wanted for a partial demo. They were quick (had the pool out in one day), came in on budget and were the nicest folks around. Highly recommended! They restored my faith in contractors. :)

Express demolition did a great job taking apart and hauling away an old shed and wood deck. They quoted me a price that was far away the best out of 5 different estimates. Someone actually quoted me double the price that Express did! They really did a super job.

After 5 years of debating, we finally decided to have our tiny swimming pool removed from the backyard. We are very glad that Express Demo and Hauling took care of the job. All of our concerns and questions were addressed well in advance. We were constantly impressed by their professionalism, fair price, knowledge, courtesy, and the quality of work. We had concerns about the blooming nectarine tree by the very narrow path of the bobcats. Pierre and his crew tied back the branches with elastic ropes and bands. Now 2 weeks after the pool was removed, so many purple baby nectarines are happily sitting on the tied back branches. The gate to our backyard is only 1 inch wider than their smallest bobcats. It’s amazing that Pierre and his crew didn’t even damage the stucco on the side of the gate. They were also very smart in creating a covered path for the bobcats to ride on but didn’t damage our front lawn below the wood planks and the plastic covers (another company said that our lawn will be gone along with the pool). They cleaned up the street and sidewalk where the dirt was stored every day before they left. They swept clean our backyard after they finished the demo. Pierre even took away the old pipes and electric wires left in our yard after the SPA was taken away 7 years ago. Anena is more like a friend in the whole process. They are very nice honest people running an honest business. They have excellent work ethic and work very hard. I highly recommend them for your pool demo and waste hauling. Wish that I knew them 4 years ago that would save me quite a bit on the water, electricity, and pool treatment bills.

Express did a warehouse office demo for us. It was a time sensitive job. They met me at the site a day after I called to give me an estimate. They were professional, friendly & knowledgeable. Once the bid was accepted the job was scheduled within 24 hours. Their employees arrived on time and got right to work. They had the job complete in 3 hours. I would highly recommend their services.

My experience with Express Demo was overall OK, I contacted Express to remove a slope from my side yard. Anena gave me a competitive quote and was eager to start the project. Pierre and another co-worker showed up with two dump trucks and a bobcat to complete the job. The dirt was removed quickly and they were able to do some rock removal and tree removal for an additional fee. I was told that some of my brickwork would not make it through the weight of the bobcat, however three areas of concrete were damaged with no repair. The crew at Express was professional and quick.

We hired Express Demolition and Hauling to demo our pool and spa and we could not be happier or more satisfied. We love having a useable back yard again and are happy to be free of the expense and maintenance of our old pool. Express Demo did an outstanding job and we are thrilled with the result. We were provided with an accurate estimate, all of our concerns and questions were answered well in advance, the crew arrived on time and worked diligently, and all work was completed as promised and in accordance with government codes/permits. The lot was left clean and graded exactly to our specifications. Best of all, it was fast! Our job was finished within the very short time period promised. Because of the steep access and tight work area (and as we had been warned might occur), there was a small amount of unavoidable damage to some bricks on our patio. Anena and Pierre promptly had their workmen repair the bricks and now our patio looks beautiful - exactly as it was before. What a pleasure to work with people who are not only good at what they do, but who have integrity. If they give you their word, they will keep it. We are so glad that we chose Express Demolition and Hauling for our pool demo. A potentially stressful event turned out to be a very positive experience. Express Demo did a fantastic job in removing a pool and other items around a house I was renovating. Both Anena & Pierre took part in the original estimate and followed the project throughout. Whenever a 'surprise' popped up (and there were a few), both of them made sure it was done right. They took care of getting the proper permits from the City of San Diego, which helped later in selling the house. I would highly recommend them for any pool and other related demolitions; plus I would call them again for future work. Great staff and working crews as well. I had a good experience working with them and I'd do it again in a heart beat.

I looked at several pool demolition companies and Express Demolition was the ONLY company who actually followed up! In fact they followed up at every step of the project - from making sure their original bid was competitive, to keeping me informed of the process, to making sure I was satisfied with the job. Not only that... but they were also the only pool demolition company that even offered to help with the other projects I had going on. So I hired them to not only take out my pool, but also to replace my broken down fence. Now, I'm talking to them about yet another project. Just yesterday Express Demolition and Hauling performed my inground pool removal. My pool was 20,000 gallons and had been left in major disrepair from the previously foreclosed tenants. Anena was the first of three bids I recieved, and the cheapest. In hindsight I only needed one bid. They worked well within my budget and performed the task in excess of what was required. I took two days off of work to witness the demo and was am still stunned by the results. Not only did they demo the pool, they took down my pool shed, and graded my entire lawn! I HIGHLY recommend them! They were courteous, prompt, and overall a pleasure to work with.

The pool is gone! Good job. Express Demolition & Haulind did a good job of removing the fiber glass swimming pool and jacuzzi from my back yard in La Mesa, San Diego. The work was done in two days. Pierre was there to supervise the work. When I requested more dirt to raise the ground level Pierre went and got another truck load. They did a good job of fill and compaction.

After years of getting ripped off by general labor people who pack on the days working, I finally found a company that doesn't rip me off. I have three acres in Ramona and it was all overgrown on the top acres - I actually don't think it was ever cleared. Well, I went through about 12 crews in the last 6 years, each more expensive than the last. I came across a husband and wife owned company (Express Demolition & Hauling) and they came out and told me they could clear the property by the truckload and they had one of those huge trucks with an attachment that presses everything down (I'd been ripped off by crews that fill the 40 yard disposal units half full and don't bother stomping them down). They charged me about $550 a huge truckload and had entire areas cleaned out in a day that took others weeks to clear! I guess rate vary by job (what they're clearing and the terrain). Anyhow, will all the wildfire stuff (and hoping more people in San Diego will clear their property), I'm posting this. They're good people. They also cleared part of my property and put in a road, I ordered the gravel. Working with Anena and Pierre was a pleasure from the beginning to the very end. We are Florida residents and we had them tear down our oceanfront home in LaJolla which was a hugh job. I was going to break out the concrete in my back yard by myself (with a sledge hammer) over the summer but decided to let your guys come and do the work instead. They showed up with 3 big trucks, a Bobcat and a crew of 5 guys, less than 2 hours later all of the concrete was gone and the guys were sweeping the excess dirt off the street and sidewalk.
